What is a Curriculum?

Our curriculum is at the heart of our teaching and learning at Norbriggs. A curriculum determines what a child will understand and what they will go onto to do with this understanding. This includes not only what they will learn in the classroom, but also what they will learn beyond it as part of our personal development and enrichment offer.

Our Curriculum Vision and Intention

At Norbriggs 'Every Child Counts' and so our curriculum reflects this belief. In order 'to nurture and value the whole child, so that their aspirations thrive in a safe and caring environment', our curriculum will be ambitious and inspiring so it can meet the needs of the Norbriggs community. Alongside this, a clear progression of knowledge and skills, interwoven through engaging topics of work, will enable our children to achieve a high standard.
